Uzbekneftegaz reveals volume of hydrocarbons processed in 2020

The oil refineries of Uzbekneftegaz JSC during 2020 processed 1.8 million tons of hydrocarbons, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, as a result, 843,900 tons of motor gasoline, 616,000 tons of diesel fuel, 89,300 tons of jet fuel and 118,400 tons of fuel oil were produced.

It was noted that the production capacity utilization indicators were fulfilled by Uzbekneftegaz by70.5 percent, and the established production plan was overfullfilled by1.2 percent.

In addition, as a result of replacing the catalyst with a modern type of gas oil hydrotreating, in 1Q2020 Bukhara Oil Refinery LLC launched the production of Euro-3, 4, 5 ecological category diesel fuel, and 85,900 tons of Euro 3, 4, 5 diesel fuel were produced and delivered to consumers by the end of 2020.

In accordance with the decree of the president of Uzbekistan dated from May 1, 2020, the sale of oil products of Bukhara Oil Refinery LLC was carried out exclusively through the exchange platform.

In particular, motor gasoline was put up for auction in the amount of 943,300 tons, delivered to consumers 533,700 tons, diesel fuel - 879,600 tons (367,900 tons), hydrocarbon solution - 23,600 tons (20,100 tons), fuel oil - 19,400 tons (7,200 tons).

Also, 43,000 tons of other types of petroleum products were delivered to the auction, of which 27,300 tons were sold through exchange trading at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Furthermore, a complete reconstruction of filling stations No. 24 Bashlyk and No. 70 Takhtapul located in the city of Tashkent was carried out in order to create Uzbekneftegaz brand according to the decision of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

In July 2020, agreements were signed between Bukhara Oil Refinery LLC, Honeywell UOP (USA) and SK E&C (South Korea) on the modernization and development of the Bukhara Oil Refinery Fundamentals Project (FEED), practical work is underway to develop the main project.

Also, a number of measures have been implemented to fully satisfy the demand of Uzbekistan’s consumers for oil products. In particular, the work on the full production of petroleum products planned by the refineries was coordinated, and measures were taken to create reserves of petroleum products. It was noted that reserves of 141,400 tons of diesel fuel and 52,500 tons of gasoline were created locally.

In addition, Kuchlikskaya Neftebaza LLC and Bukhara Oil Refinery LLC introduced an automated petroleum product accounting system and the movement of petroleum products is fully electronically controlled by the Central Production and Dispatch Office of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

In 2020, within the framework of the localization program, the oil refineries of Uzbekneftegaz JSC produced products totaling 1,124 billion soums ($10.7 million).

Also, developments were carried out for a total amount of $215.500 to reduce imports.

Uzbekneftegaz also said that together with the Uzbek Research Institute of Chemistry and Pharmacy, the adsorbent of 5.1 tons SAS-851 (France) was replaced with an adsorbent of the local UzAD-1, saving $20,000.
