Currently, the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department in Uzbekistan is implementing a project to modernize a gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite and amine, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
Natural gas produced by the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Directorate, joint ventures Gissarneftegaz, LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company and Epsilon DCC, will be processed at the gas processing facilities of the Shurtan head facility and transferred to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC.
According to the information, in recent years, the department has been implementing projects for the modernization of many installations in the direction of increasing the production of natural gas, liquefied gas, and continuous improvement of the quality of processed natural gas.
In particular, a project was launched to modernize the 1st, 2nd and 5th stages of a propane-butane mixture production unit in 2020, and today a project is being implemented to modernize a gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite and amine.
It is reported that the supply of material and technical resources was completed: technological devices, instrumentation of the automatic control system, pipeline fittings.
In addition, in order to improve the quality of processing, drying of gas moisture entering the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC, construction and installation work is underway to increase the production capacity of the regeneration gas dryer using zeolite.
Furthermore, work has been completed on pouring a reinforced concrete foundation for the installation of an adsorber apparatus manufactured by Uzbekkimyomash Zavodi JSC.
The pipeline fittings required for the construction and installation works were supplied by Uzpromarm LLC, and pipeline and pipe fittings of various sizes are provided based on the internal control capability.
It was noted that with the installation and commissioning of this additional adsorber, further improvement of the quality indicators of natural gas transported along the Shurtan-Kelif route will be achieved.
