France boosts imports of petroleum oils from Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has exported 498,493 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 164.7 million euros to France in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 4.05 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 1.2 billion euros to France over the period from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to France is 19.5 percent less than in volume compared to September 2020 (619,674 tons) and is 1.5 times more than in Jan. 2020 (197,514 tons).

October’s export value is also 13.5 percent less than in September 2020 (190.5 million euros) and is 70.6 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (96.5 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $2.1 billion over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $3.7 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to France amounted to $1.5 billion over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $3.1 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from France amounted to nearly $654.5 million over the reporting period, compared to $608.9 million during the same period of 2019.
