Uzbekneftegaz reveals number of investment projects on increasing production efficiency

Uzbekneftegaz JSC will implement projects worth of $985.8 million, including eight projects with the help of foreign investments and loans in the amount of $773.9 million, Trend reports referring to the press service of the company.

According to the Uzbekneftegaz, implementation of investment projects has already startedç including the launch of new production facilities and facilities of the Shurtan gas chemical complex and the Mubarek gas processing plant.

In addition, work has begun on the project for the production of liquefied synthetic fuel (gas to liquids - GTL) based on the purified methane of the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, which will be launched at full capacity in August 2021.

It is noted that as a result, the production of 307,300 tons of kerosene, 724,600 tons of diesel fuel, 437,300 tons of naphtha, 53,400 tons of liquefied gas will be established and 1,321 jobs will be created.

It was also noted that the project for the modernization of a gas purification plant using zeolite at the Shurtan head facility, capable of purifying 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas using zeolite, is planned to be fully implemented by the end of the year.

In addition, an investment project will be implemented to modernize the amino acid gas purification plant at the Shurtan headquarters. The modernization will be completed and the purification of three billion cubic meters of natural gas using amine will be established by December 2020.

Another of the major investment projects being implemented by Uzbekneftegaz JSC is the generation of electricity from excess steam by installing a steam turbine in boiler room No. 2 of the Mubarek gas processing plant.

It is reported that as a result of the project implementation, it is planned to establish electricity production in the amount of 54,180 MW, and thanks to this investment project, which will be launched before December, 30 more new jobs will be created.
