Iran to launch several water and electricity facilities

As many as 23 water and electricity facilities were put into operation in 4 provinces of Iran yesterday on January 26, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, 10 facilities have been put into operation in Iran's Zanjan Province, 11 in Qom Province, 1 in Isfahan Province, and 1 in Semnan Province. In total, 6.86 trillion rials (about $163 million) were spent on these facilities.

“About 20 of these facilities were on electricity and 3 on water sectors,” the reports said.

Thus, the number of water and electricity facilities put into operation in Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) has reached 212, the report said.

The Iranian Energy Ministry plans to be launched 250 water and electricity facilities in the current Iranian year at a cost of 550 trillion rials (about $13 billion).
