Motovilikha Civil Engineering LLC., managed by RT-Capital LLC of the Rostec State Corporation, signed the first direct contract with the state concern Uzbekneftegaz for the supply of pipes for oil drilling rigs worth about 80 million rubles ($1.05 million), Trend reports citing the press service of Rostec.

According to the terms of the contract, Motovilikha will supply 250 weighted balanced pipes for the development of oil and gas fields in Uzbekistan during the year.

Rostec noted that the first batch of 64 pipes will be shipped to Uzbekistan in March 2021.

“The conclusion of a direct contract was the result of the company's work on the development of export potential over the past two years. In 2019, the volume of exports amounted to about 480 million rubles, and in 2020 the plant increased this figure by a third. The proceeds from the sale of oilfield equipment exceeded 1 billion rubles, of which about 15 percent fell on the Republic of Uzbekistan. This year we plan to increase cooperation with oil and gas companies in the region and increase export volumes by 5 percent compared to last year,” General Director of RT-Capital said Kirill Fedorov said.

According to the information, the Motovilikha plant shipped about 3,000 drills and lead pipes to customers in Russia and abroad in 2020.

Director of Motovilikha Civil Engineering LLC Sergei Dyadkin said that it is planned to expand cooperation with leading oil and gas companies both in Russia and abroad and to increase the share of presence in these markets. It was also noted that the company has a 21 percent share of the Russian drill pipe market.
