Uzbekneftegaz launches second compressor station at Alan field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar. 1

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

The second compressor station was put into operation at the Alan field of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, the opening ceremony of the newly built low-pressure compressor station at the Alan field took place on the territory of the Mubarek district of the Kashkadarya region.

It is reported that control over natural gas production at the Alan field is fully automated, and the compressor station was commissioned by the Dispatch Service.

It is reported that it was decided to build a second compressor station in order to maximize the production of residual gas reserves at Alan field (25 billion cubic meters). This technological facility worth $75 million was completed by the general contractor of the project ENTER Engineering.

It was noted that modern gas turbine equipment and compressors were supplied by leading foreign companies, including American Baker Hughes General Electric, Ukrainian Motorsich, Turkish Akcelik, Chinese Denair Energy and others.

The Alan compressor station of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department is capable of utilizing up to 9.137 million cubic meters of industrial gas per day. The design documentation has been developed, construction and installation works have been completed, and Alan, a low-pressure second compressor station, has been put into production.

Uzbekneftegaz said that in 2021 it is planned to produce 2.771 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 69,600 tons of gas condensate from this field.

The total capacity of the compressor amounts to 4,569 million cubic meters per day. It is noted that industrial natural gas from the low-pressure wells of the Alan field, increasing the pressure, is pumped to the Alan compressor station through two units.

According to the information, an increase in daily natural gas production by one million cubic meters will be achieved with the commissioning of second low-pressure compressor stations and as a result of an increase in pressure of 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year at the Alan field.

In addition, it is planned to drill an additional 11 new wells at the Alan field and build a 7.9 km gas reservoir, in order to ensure the stable operation of the compressor station in 2021. As a result, 2.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be produced from the field per year.
