By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

In March this year, the Angren coal mine produced 776,800 tons of fuel instead of the planned 527.5 thousand, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekcoal JSC.

According to Uzbekcoal JSC, the finished product is delivered to consumers on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is reported that the department of Uzbekcoal JSC loads about 5,000-6,000 tons of coal per day. It was noted that through the efforts of the staff, this plan is being implemented with a surplus regularly.

In particular, in March this year, 190,000 tons of coal were loaded instead of 150,000 tons, and the monthly plan was fulfilled by 26 percent.

In addition, the 120,000-ton mark was set in April. To date, the implementation of the plan has exceeded 70 percent.

Earlier it was reported that a second conveyor line was installed in the department. Tests are currently being tested on this line. When fully operational, the volume of coal loaded for power plants, budget organizations and the needs of the population will double.

Annually Uzbekugol JSC extracts more than four million tons of coal. The main consumer of coal fuel is the electricity sector, which accounts for over 85 percent of total coal consumption. The demand for solid fuel is also formed by industrial enterprises, social and communal spheres, and the population.

The Angren coal mine was first revealed within the program on further development and modernization of the coal industry for 2017-2021. It is financed from the resources of the companies ($87.5 million), loans of commercial banks ($155.6 million), loans of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan ($68.7 million), and soft loans of China to the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) member state (378.7 million).
