Kazakhstan temporarily bans export of some petrochemicals

To prevent a shortage of petroleum products in the domestic market, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has banned the export of diesel fuel and certain types of oil products, Trend reports citing the ministry.

"For this purpose, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan adopted a joint order ‘On some issues of export of petroleum products from Kazakhstan’ providing for the introduction of a six-month ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and certain types of petrochemicals from Kazakhstan by road (EAEU CN of FEA 2709, 2710, 2902, 3403, 3811, 3826), excluding lubricating oils (EAEU CN of FEA 2710 19 820 0, 2710 19 840 0, 2710 19 860 0, 2710 19 880 0, 2710 19 920 0, 2710 19 940 0, 2710 19 980 0, 3403 19 900 0, 3403 91 000 0)," the message said.

However, the export in gas tanks provided by the vehicle manufacturer and installed in accordance with technical specifications, as well as in separate containers with a volume of no more than 20 liters, is an exception.
