Measures to improve gas supply in Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region revealed

This year, 439 million cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to consumers of the Surkhandarya region in autumn-winter period 2020-2021, which is 23.3 million cubic meters more than last season, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, 20 gas distribution stations, 2,397 kilometers of gas pipelines and 2,541 gas distribution points will be used to supply consumers with natural gas.

It is reported that to date, three kilometers of gas pipelines have been fully repaired, 3.7 kilometers of gas pipelines have been reconstructed, and 650 gas distribution points have been inspected.

Also, from October 1, 16 units of special equipment and 16 teams with a total of 64 specialists will work to ensure the safety of the autumn-winter season.

In addition, 6,824 tons of liquefied gas will be supplied this season. In order to improve the liquefied gas supply system, nine modern electronic level gauges, three vehicle scales, two pumps, two compressors, and 10 gas filling scales have been installed at gas filling facilities.

To digitize the supply of liquefied gas to consumers, 240,624 ID-cards were issued and stickers were installed on 576,614 household gas cylinders.

It is also reported that this year the region will additionally install two pumps, two compressors, 12 gas filling scales and four tanks, as well as 449,628 ID-cards and 576,614 stickers for household gas cylinders (electronic chip).
