Uzbek-Russian Natural Gas-Stream JV LLC is implementing an investment project on geological exploration at the Sechankul, Akdzhar and Chimbay investment blocks, as well developing the Urga, Akchalak and Chandyr fields with a total value of $701.4 million, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

According to the information, to date, within the framework of the project, 27 wells have been drilled, as well as 3D CDP (Common Depth Point) field seismic survey has been completed on an area of 600 square kilometers.

In particular, the Akchalak group of fields built 78.97 kilometers of gas pipelines and loops, 5.55 kilometers of a water conduit, and 40.5 kilometers of power lines.

In the Chandir group, 134.1 kilometers of gas pipelines and loops, 84.6 kilometers of power lines were built, to provide the field with communications and the Internet, 119.82 kilometers of fiber-optic cable were laid, and 133.3 kilometers of roads were built.

For the Urga field, a gas metering unit was built to supply gas to the city of Bukhara-Ural and a rotational camp for 23 people.

In addition, gas pipelines have been laid in the Akchalak group of fields at 71.15 kilometers, and the construction of a working village has been completed in the Chandyr group and at the Urga field.

Currently, work is underway to drill a sidetrack at well No. 1 at the Akchalak investment block. At the Urga field, major repairs are being carried out in three wells, sidetracking is being carried out in one well. In well No. 2 of the Urga field in Uzbekistan's Karakalpakstan Republic, sidetracking and well development have been completed.

At a depth of 2,825–2,877 meters, a filter was installed in the sidetrack. During the development of the well, an industrial gas inflow was obtained with a daily gas flow rate of 187,300 cubic meters and 2.9 tons of condensate. The well was completed and connected to the gas-collecting manifold.

Uzbekneftegaz noted that as a result of the effective work carried out by the end of 2021, production of 1.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 32,200 tons of gas condensate is expected.
