Russia agrees to work on creating oil and gas cluster in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan and Russia agree on joint work to study the possibilities of creating an oil and gas cluster on the territory of Uzbekistan with an industrial platform, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

During the business mission of the working group of Uzbekneftegaz JSC with head of the investment policy and support for entrepreneurs of the Tyumen region of Russia Yulia Akhmatova, an exchange of views took place on the strategy of localizing production and reducing imports.

Russian side was greatly interested in the opportunities created in Uzbekistan for domestic producers, information on the Unified Exchange Portal of Electronic Cooperation, the virtual exhibition of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

It is reported that following the meeting an agreement was reached on joint work to study the possibilities of creating an oil and gas cluster on the territory of Uzbekistan with an industrial platform and a research center focused on the production of import-substituting products.

In addition, within the framework of the business mission, meetings were also organized with local producers of the Tyumen region in the B2B format. In particular:

- Cooperation with Sibneftegaz JSC, HMS Neftemash JSC, TerminalStroyInvest LLC and VEKTOR LLC on the use of equipment in the oil and gas industry and the possibility of its production in Uzbekistan;

- Carrying out with INOMA GROUP industrial and experimental tests of sorbents used in petrochemistry;

- Joint production of measuring control devices with Tyumen Pribor LLC and Sibnefteavtomatika JSC, as well as repair and maintenance of pumps and electrical equipment;

Also, preliminary agreements were reached with Intex LLC and InTech LLC on the development and further implementation of innovative technologies in the oil and gas industry.
