President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to create an open database of geological information and provide investors with access to it, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.
At the same time, the president stressed that Kazakhstan’s resource potential has not been fully disclosed while the subsoil use industry needs a new impetus.
“The reforms launched within Plan of the Nation should be carried out,” the president added. “An open database of geological information must be created and investors must have the access to it.”
“Mineral resources are a national treasure,” the president said. “The decision about the access to them through the discussions on the sidelines must be made beyond the law. The relevant structures will ensure control over this issue.”
