SOCAR sees decrease in prime cost of oil and gas production

The prime cost of production of 1 ton of oil stood at 118.85 manat ($69.3) in 2020, down by 4.94 manat ($20.90) or 4 percent as compared to 2019, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.

The share of material costs in the total production costs of the company's oil production is 3.4 percent, salary costs accounted for 16.4 percent, social insurance contributions made up 3.4 percent, depreciation deductions accounted to 19.5 percent, repair costs stood at 9.1 percent, maintenance expenses 5.1 percent, transport expenses 15.4 percent, mining tax - 8.1 percent, other taxes - 5.7 percent.

Taking into account the oil transportation costs and other expenses, the total cost of 1 ton of oil was 153.56 manat ($90.3)

This is while the prime cost of gas production amounted to 61.27 manat ($36.04), down by 1 percent or 0.62 manat ($0.39) as compared to 2019.

The share of material costs in the total gas production costs of the company is 3.4 percent, while salary costs account for 13.9 percent, social insurance contributions - 2.9 percent, depreciation allocations -18.2 percent, repair costs - 8.2 percent, maintenance costs - 4.7 percent, transport costs - 14.5 percent, mining tax - 17.7 percent.
