Iran`s National Iranian oil products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) issued a permission of using mazut instead of liquid gas to feed power plants in some regions of Iran, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Meanwhile, CEO of Iran`s National Iranian oil products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Keramat Veis-Karami said the power plants are forced to switch from natural gas to mazut, since steam pressure is being reduced.
He pointed out that Iran's cement industry is one of major industries which heavily relies on use of mazut.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Iran, during peak periods of winter, the use of natural gas, mazut will be supplied to the industries at the natural gas rate, to prevent the disruption in production.
