Iran's NIOEC talks investments into important refining projects

TEHRAN, Iran, March. 9

The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC) Farhad Ahmadi said the Oil Ministry plans to invest more than 16.5 billion euros in two important refining projects, Trend reports via the official website of the Iran Oil Ministry.

One is the Shahid Soleimani petro-refinery project, while the other - Khuzestan oil refinery project.

The Shahid Soleimani petro-refinery project is supposed to be launched in the city of Bandar Abbas, with the total investments estimated to be over 100 billion euros, Ahmadi said.

Speaking of other ongoing projects of NIOEC, Ahmadi named the following:

- Completion of Phase 2 of the Abadan Oil Refinery development plan

- Implementation of Pars Pipeline Project

- Construction of Abadan-Mahshahr New Pump Station.

Ahmadi went on to say that the required investment for the construction of the Khuzestan oil refinery is estimated at $4.5 billion, which will begin in next Iranian year (starts on March 21).
