BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Iran plans to put into operation 6 new crude oil and gas condensate refineries in the next 6 years, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Houshang Falahatian told Fars News Agency,Trend reports.

According to Falahatian, each of these refineries will cost about $10 billion.

The deputy minister added that with the launch of the mentioned refineries, Iran's crude oil refining capacity will increase by 1.25 million barrels per day.

“Two of these refineries will operate on gas condensate refining, while four refineries – on crude oil refining,” he said.

At present, Iran's crude oil and gas condensate refining capacity is 2.2 million barrels per day.
