BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. The production of Iran's Nouri Petrochemical Company is 18 percent more than the average production of the country's other petrochemical companies, Managing Director of the company Taghi Sanei said the company’s annual meeting, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
“According to the report of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), the average production of the country's petrochemical companies is 85 percent,” Sanei said.
The director added that the Nouri Petrochemical Company's production was more than 4.6 million tons over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), which is 18 percent more than in the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
Sanei also pointed out that the company produced 290 types of spare parts and catalysts domestically within last Iranian year. However, it was expected to produce 240 types of spare parts and catalysts domestically under the company’s plan.
About 60 percent of Iran's Nouri Petrochemical Company’s products are exported and 40 percent sold at the Iranian Energy Exchange (IRENEX). The products are mainly exported to European countries, East and South Asian countries, the Indian subcontinent, and the countries around the Persian Gulf.
The company produces 1.2 million tons of p-Xylene, benzene, and o-Xylene and 3.3 million tons of heavy and light hydrocarbons, heavy aromatic, LPG, pentane, and light naphtha products annually.
Furthermore, the company’s plant consumes 4.77 million tons of fuel per year. Thus, 4.5 million tons of which is gas condensate and supplied from refineries of the South Pars Gas Company.
