BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. A number of functions in the field of subsoil use will be included in the category of public services in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
The ministry, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, is conducting work on the subsoil use sector's digitalization.
The functions to be included in the public services at the first stage of the work will cover the issuance of a license for the exploration of solid minerals and the extraction of solid minerals within the transition to a licensed subsoil use regime, and the conclusion of an additional agreement on amending a subsoil use contract.
As part of the pilot project, work is planned to implement an electronic form for the provision of the above public services.
These measures are expected to increase the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan by significantly reducing the list of documents, the terms for their submission, administrative barriers, as well as making the procedure for issuing a license transparent.
