BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 27. The electricity generation of Iran’s Gilan Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 15 percent in the 9th month of the last Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 22, 2022), an official of Gilan Regional Electric Company (GILREC), Mohsen Babazadeh said, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Energy Ministry.
According to Babazadeh, the power plant generated a total of 722,567 megawatt-hours of electricity in the 9th month.
The Gilan Combined Cycle Power Plant is considered the largest power plant in Iran’s Gilan Province. The power plant was put into operation in 1992, and has 6 gas units and 3 steam units. The electricity generation capacity of the power plant is 1,300 megawatt-hours.
