BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Iran's Shazand Petrochemical Company sold more than 61,200 tons of various products worth 17.3 trillion rials (about $413 million) for the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2023), Executive Director of the company, Alireza Khalilnia said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Khalilnia noted that the company mainly sold chemical and polymer products within the mentioned month.
“Meanwhile, in the 11th month of the last Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), the company sold a total of 53,600 tons of products,” he added.
The director also said that the company’s total sales for the 12th month of the last Iranian year increased by an average of 20 percent compared to other months.
According to Khalilnia, the Shazand Petrochemical Company intends to continue increasing production and sales for the current Iranian year too (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).
On average, Iran's Shazand Petrochemical Company produces 306,000 tons of ethylene, 124,000 tons of propylene, 85,000 tons of heavy polyethylene, 85,000 tons of light polyethylene and other products per year.
