BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 29. Three international oil companies operating in Turkmenistan sent a total of 3.16 million tons of oil through the Caspian Sea and further via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in 2023, an informed source told Trend.
This volume amounted to 95.6 percent of Turkmenistan’s total oil exports.
Of the 3.16 million tons of oil transited through Baku, 1.75 million tons of oil came from Dragon Oil, 893,500 tons from Petronas and 235,000 tons from Eni Turkmenistan.
To note, in 2023, 7.7 million tons of oil were produced in Turkmenistan.
