ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 9. Petrofac Company (UK), a leading provider of services to the global energy industry, has received a contract from Turkmenistan's Turkmengaz State Concern for the maintenance of the Galkynysh field, Trend reports.
According to the company, the contract was concluded for three years, and its value amounted to more than $200 million.
The contract includes the provision of personnel to monitor and support operations and maintenance, the provision of technical support and procurement services, as well as the development and implementation of management systems to support the efficient operation of central processing units 1 and 1A of the Galkynysh gas field.
At the same time, the facilities that Petrofac will now serve have an equal capacity of 10 billion cubic meters.
Meanwhile, Petrofac has previously implemented a project to build a complex for the purification of commercial gas from sulfur and onshore production facilities at the Galkynysh field.
The contract for the development of this gas field, which is one of the largest in the world, was signed in 2009 and completed in 2013.
