BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. SOCAR Methanol LLC of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic produced 144,200 tons of methanol from January through March 2024, which is 91.5 percent more than the indicator for the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
Based on the data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, 31,800 tons of methanol were kept in SOCAR Methanol's warehouses as of April 1.
Since 2014, the enterprise has been under SOCAR's ownership and remains the sole methanol producer in the South Caucasus, with a peak capacity of about 720,000 tons per year.
