The senior management of Boss Shelf, a JV owned by Italy’s Saipem and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) resolved to increase by 20% the salaries from December 2005 and 12% - from January 2006. Mirvari Gahramanly, the head of the Committee on Protection of Oilmen’s Rights, told Trend that the resolution was taken as a result of a Monday meeting between the representatives of the workers and management of Boss Shelf.
According to Gahramanly, a special working group was established at Boss Shelf with representatives from the senior management of the company and employees, which is committed by late December to ensure the implementation of the demands comprised of 17 utems, including the registration of medical insurance and life insurance.
