Date on Completing Construction of Last Foot Block for ACG Fixed

The construction of the last foot block within the implementation of the project on the full-scale development of block of fields Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli (ACG) is expected to be completed in May-June, 2007, a source in the Baku Jacket Building Plant told Trend.

The foot bloick is considered for Phase 3 of the project. It is a foot block of the platform considered for gas production, gas boosting and water injection with engeneering and technical systems.

The last deck that will be constructed for Phase 3 wil be a deck with upper constructions for a platform considered for gas production, gas boosting and water injection with engeeneering and technical systems. Construction work on the upper construction is underway on a costruction area of ATA (Amec-Tekfen-Azfen) and in Bibi-Heybat. The construction of this deck is expected to be completed till the forth quarter of 2007.

Company Bos Shelf, the subcontractor of BP on the construction of foot blocks, has its construction areas in the Jacket Building Plant as well.

Production of the first oil within Phase 3 from the deep-water section of field Gunashli has been fixed for 2008. Injecting water in wells drilled from two underwater manifolds is expected to be launched simultaneously with oil production on the wells located on the platform itself.

The recoverable reserves of the deep-water section of Gunashli reach 176 mln. tons or 1,25 bln. barrels of oil.
