During the research and repair work on the west pipeline route Baku-Supsa, Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), where BP is an operator, discovered new technical problems which will not allow renewing the oil transportation via the pipeline by the end of February, Trend reports.
Earlier BP Azerbaijan had commenced the repair work on Baku-Supsa. The work is carried out over 150 km stretch of the pipeline on the Georgia territory.
The volume of the oil, which is produced from Chirag field and earlier was produced via Baku-Supsa, has been directed to the north pipeline route Baku- Novorossisk and railway to Batumi Port. In addition, if the partners on developing Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields receive Azeri Light oil from Supsa, then they will also receive Ural oil from Novorossisk.
