BP Azerbaijan informed Trend that Appraisal drilling activities in support of additional stages of the Shah Deniz development have continued, with the work on the current exploration and appraisal well SDX-4 now continuing into the deeper section of the pre-Fasila formation.
The SDX-4 well reached a total depth of 7301m in January and the deeper section of the pre-Fasila formation is currently being logged. Once logging has been completed, and total depth confirmed, BP will drill a geological sidetrack to obtain further information updip of the current well.
