Kazakhstan, Astana / corr Trend K.Konirova / Arif Asarov, the head of the Azerbaijan State Railway (ASR), stated in Astana on 17 May that in 2007 the Azerbaijan State Railway (ASR) plans to transport 16mln tons of oil cargo up from 15mln in 2006.
In 2007 the ASR plans to deliver 33mln tons of cargo, including 16mln tons of oil and oil products.
Last year the volume of cargo deliveries by the Azerbaijani railway made up 30mln tons. Some 50% of deliveries fell to oil and oil products," he added.
