Azerbaijan Re-establishes Gas Supply to   Georgia: Head of Azerigaz

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The President of Azerigaz JSC, Alikhan Melikov, said on 30 May that the JSC re-established the gas supply to Georgia from 29 May.

According toMelikov, presently Georgia receives more than 40mln cu m of gas from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) at $120 per thou cu m.

In the first three months of 2007, Georgia received gas from Azerbaijan within the agreement reached with Azerigaz (105 mln cu m). The cost of the gas was $120 per thou cu m. In addition Georgia receives gas via the South Caucasus Pipeline. The gas is produced from Azerbaijan's field of Shah Deniz.
