Azerbaijan Highly Assesses Role of Kazakhstan in Delivering Raw Materials to Turkish Petkim Chemical Holding

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The joint participation of GazMunayGaz JSC and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the process of privatizing Turkish Petkim Chemical Holding is assessed highly. The SOCAR President, Rovnak Abdullayev, said on 3 July at a press-conference that GazMunayGaz plays a great role in delivering raw materials for the holding.

Earlier SOCAR and GazMunayGaz reached an agreement to jointly participate in the process of privatizing Turkish Petkim Petro-Chemical Holding. If the sides win the bid on privatizing the chemical holding, it will be managed jointly. In addition to SOCAR, applications for purchasing 51% State share in Petkim have been submitted by Turkish Turcas Petrolculuk AS, Zorlu, Anadolu, Ulker and the Indian Oil Corp. The market cost of the pack exceeds $700mln.
