Saffron is an export product, and with the continuing stability in the market, it is also possible to regulate the programs for export markets, Mahdi Afnani, an expert in the investment market, said in an interview with ILNA, Trend reports.

He noted that customers in the target export markets give great importance to transparency and sustainability.

They work only with those sellers who have these two important traits, he added.

The commodity exchange, by creating a transparent supply and demand structure and by determining prices there, can gain confidence for the Iranian products, he said.

He noted that Iran is the main producer of saffron. If the process of setting prices continues at the commodity exchange, Iran’s production will grow and farmers will be more interested in planting saffron, he added.

The sales process at the commodity exchange was properly organized and the price was set in the right way, he said. With this process going on slowly, confidence increases, he noted.

A reliable product market has been formed and all entrepreneurs in the saffron market need to improve this process, he added.
