Kazakhstan's international reserves slightly increase

International reserves of Kazakhstan totaled $88.63 billion in December 2018, Trend reports citing the Kazakh media.

Thus, international reserves increased by 0.97 percent compared to November 2018, and decreased by 0.79 percent year-on-year.

According to the preliminary data of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, gross international reserves of the country increased by 2.53 percent to $30.91 billion, including net international reserves, which decreased by 2.56 percent to $30.42 billion.

Assets of Kazakhstan National Fund amounted to $57.72 billion, which was an increase of 0.16 percent compared to November 2018. Assets in freely convertible currency amounted to $16.52 billion, which was a decrease of 0.45 percent.

At the same time, assets in gold amounted to $14.39 billion in December 2018, which was an increase of 6.17 percent.
