Income of Georgian insurance companies increase

Georgian insurance companies raised premiums in the amount of 345.3 million lari in the first half of 2019, Trend reports citing the Georgian Insurance Supervision Service.

The figure is a 50-million lari more than in the same period of 2018.

In the same period, the net profit of the Georgian insurance sector amounted to 19.5 million lari, assets - 952.7 million lari, capital - 231.2 million lari - a year ago these indicators were 16.3 million lari, 699.3 million lari and 180.9 million lari, respectively.

In terms of premiums raised, the leader of the Georgian insurance market is Imedi El. The company's revenue amounted to 58.7 million lari, while in the same period in 2018 - 37.9 million lari.

Aldagi company is second (56.6 million lari), which is 10.4 million less than a year ago. TBC Insurance is in third place with 39.2 million lari, which is 10.7 million lari more than in 2018.

In total, 17 insurance companies operate in Georgia.
