Foreign citizens spent 969 million manat ($570 million) in Azerbaijan via bank cards in the first nine months of 2019, which is 3.4 percent less than in the same period of 2018, according to the Export Review of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Trend reports.
The volume of foreign citizens' transactions with bank cards in the country amounted to 106.2 million manat ($62.5 million) in September, which indicates a decrease of 7.9 percent compared to September 2018.
Foreign citizens spent slightly over one billion manat ($588.4 million) in Azerbaijan by using bank cards from January through September 2018, and 797.1 million manat ($468.9 million) in the first nine months of 2017.
