Turkmenistan's state budget for 2020 for revenues was approved in the amount of 84.39 million turkmen million manat ($24.14 million) and expenditures in the amount of 84.29 million manat ($24.11 million), Trend reports via Turkmen media outlets.
Protected items of expenditure are wages, pensions, state allowances and scholarships.
In case of the formation of the budget deficit, the sources of financing are funds from state borrowings and the resulting balances of budgetary funds in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan, according to the law.
Additional revenues from other sources to the state budget in 2020, as well as the amount of excess of income over expenditure, will be directed on repayment of debts on state borrowings and bank loans as a priority.
