As of the end of the first quarter of 2020, Azerbaijani Unibank’s total assets decreased by four percent compared to the first quarter of 2019, Trend reports referring to the bank’s balance sheet.
According to the report, total assets decreased by 31.2 million manat ($18.3 million) for the year up to 755.9 million manat ($444.6 million). The biggest share (69.8 percent) in the structure of assets accounts for the loan portfolio in the amount of 527.7 million manat ($310.4 million), an increase of 2.6 percent (including loans to the banks and financial institutions).
The biggest part of Unibank's loan portfolio (51.7 percent) accounted for the consumer loans in the amount of 272.6 million manat ($160.3 million), which decreased by 6.1 percent.
About 36 percent accounted for business loans in the amount of 190 million manat ($111.8 million), which increased by 12.4 percent per annum. Mortgage loans accounted for 11 percent of the loan portfolio in the amount of 57.9 million manat that’s $34.05 million (an increase of 20.8 percent).
The deduction of target reserves from the portfolio to ensure the possible losses amounted to 103.5 million manat ($60.9 million), which is 6.4 percent less compared to late March 2019.
The loans to the banks and other financial institutions amounted to 7.2 million manat ($4.2 million) and remained unchanged for the year. The deposits in the banks and other financial institutions amounted to 19 million manat that’s $11.2 million (a decrease of 35.5 percent).
Some 16.8 percent of total assets accounted for cash and cash equivalents. The volume decreased by 11.1 percent from 143 million manat ($84.1 million) to 127 million manat ($74.7 million).
The unused real estate amounted to 62.5 million manat ($36.8 million) in the structure of long-term assets, an increase of 1.7 percent per annum.
The intangible assets decreased by 2.7 percent, amounting to 14.1 million manat ($8.3 million). Other assets amounted to 4.7 million manat ($2.8 million).
