Azerbaijan imported products worth $3.3 billion from January through April 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Customs Committee on May 14.
During the reporting period, the share of public sector in import amounted to $615.8 million, which is about 18.2 percent of the total volume, while private sector - $2.4 billion or 72.3 percent of the total volume, and the remaining $318.4 million or 9.4 percent accounted for individuals.
In total, Azerbaijan exported 1,951 types and imported 6,493 types of goods, conducting trade operations with 161 countries.
From January through April 2020, Azerbaijan mostly imported machinery, mechanisms, electric tools, equipment and its parts, land vehicles (except for railway and tram vehicles), as well as their parts and accessories, ferrous metal and products from it.
