In relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic will provide assistance in the amount of 200 million CZK (7.3 million euros) to COVID-19 affected countries including Georgia, Moldova, Bosnia, Cambodia, Ethiopia and Zambia, Trend reports referring to the ministry.
As reported, the money will be spent on healthcare and living conditions improvement projects.
The assistance will focus on medical and hygiene-related measures.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they expect the involvement of Czech companies in this project. In this way, countries that need the supplies will be able to buy products from the Czech Republic, which will also help Czech companies during the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
Georgia and the Czech Republic established diplomatic relations on January 1, 1993. Countries cooperate in the fields of economics, finance, defense and security, culture, education, science and sports.
