Uzbek bank establishes cooperation with Japanese JCB International

Japanese JCB International and Orient Finance Bank of Uzbekistan have announced the beginning of cooperation, Trend reports with reference to the bank.

"Orient Finance Bank became the first bank in Uzbekistan that started acquiring JCB international payment system created in Japan. Expanding opportunities for servicing cards, the bank signed an agreement with JCB, a major payment system in Japan,” the message said.

It is planned that after the completion of the project in autumn 2020, the holders of JCB cards travelling to Uzbekistan will be able to freely use them to pay for goods, services and withdraw cash from Orient Finance ATMs throughout Uzbekistan.

"This partnership will also allow trade enterprises, which cooperate with Orient Finance Bank, to get new sales opportunities with global financial brand both in traditional acquiring and e-commerce," the message said.

JCB is one of the leading international payment systems, founded in Japan in 1961. Due to successful business development and provision of high level services, the company holds one of the leading positions in the market.

Furthermore, JCB cards have received international recognition and high customer loyalty.

Standard and Poors’ (S&P) Global Ratings revised outlooks for Orient Finance from Positive to Stable in April 2020.
