About $3.8 billion worth of foreign investments were attracted in Iran during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Iran Farhad Dejpasand told IRIB, Trend reports.
Dejpasand noted that these investments are expected to be used fully in Iran over the next two years.
The minister also added that all processes should be facilitated to encourage investors to invest in the manufacturing sector.
"Previously, it took 73 days to register a company or trade enterprise. However, this figure has been reduced to 73 hours at present. If all the documents of the person are in order, the company is registered within 20 minutes," he said.
