Uzbekistan’s Agrobank JSCB allocated loans for the creation of a modern greenhouse in Zangiata district of Tashkent region in the amount of $3.9 million, Trend reports citing gazeta.uz.
Agrobank JSCB takes an active part in financial support of commercial projects of entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan which can be seen on the example of a modern greenhouse created in the area by Gigant Green Export LLC in the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region, where large-scale work is being carried out to meet the needs of the population in agricultural products and ensure food security.
The project was implemented with the assistance of Agrobank in September 2020. Its total cost amounts to $4.9 million, of which $3.9 million are bank loans.
Plant care in this greenhouse is carried out using Turkish and Spanish technologies. Maintaining the norms of humidity and air temperature, timely provision of plants with fertilizers and nutrients, irrigation based on accurate calculations is controlled by a computer program.
In mid-December, entrepreneurs expect to bring the first crop to the market. The cultivation of export-oriented products depends not only on modern equipment, but also on the technology of plant care. In this regard, agrotechnical measures in the greenhouse are carried out in cooperation with Turkish specialists.
It is expected that the annual production volume in the greenhouse will be over a thousand tons. This will contribute to ensuring food security, increasing the export potential of the region, and creating new jobs.
