Uzbek Finance Ministry names largest taxpayers in 2021

Some 20 companies in Uzbekistan will provide 47.3 percent of state budget revenues, Trend reports referring to the draft publication “Citizens' Budget for 2021” by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

The ministry noted that budget revenues will largely depend on the economic situation at enterprises that are large taxpayers.

Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (20.1 percent of state budget revenues), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (6.4 percent), Uzbekneftegaz (5.1 percent), Uztransgaz (3.3 percent), LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company (3.1 percent), Uzbekenergo (2.3 percent), UzBAT (1.7 percent), and UzAuto Motors (1.5 percent) are among the large taxpayers in Uzbekistan.

The share of revenues to the state budget from telecommunications operators Beeline, Ucell and Uztelecom will amount to 0.5 percent each, and from Mobiuz - 0.2 percent.

In addition, the list of the large taxpayers include such companies as Uz-Kor Gas Chemical (0.4 percent), Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex (0.3 percent), Tashkentvino (0.3 percent), Uzbkeistan Railways (0.2 percent), Tashkent Tobacco (0.2 percent), Uzmetkombinat (0.1 percent), Akhangarantsement (0.1 percent) and Kizilkumcement (0.5 percent).

According to the Ministry of Finance, revenues to the state budget of Uzbekistan in 2021 are projected at 147 trillion soums ($14.2 billion), while in 2020 it was projected to amount to 129.57 trillion soums ($12.5 billion). Of these, 46.23 trillion soums ($4.46 billion) will account for the share of value added tax.
