The volume of the insurance fund formed at the expense of incoming insurance premiums to the State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan for 2020 increased by 6.1 percent, compared to 2019, said Director General of the State Insurance Organization Guvanch Nurmuhammedov, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was noted at a working meeting held by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The plan of the State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan is to conclude contracts with individuals and legal entities was exceeded by 25.4 percent in 2020.
In particular, the plan for mandatory types of insurance was exceeded by 37.3 percent, and for voluntary forms of insurance-by 23.5 percent.
According to the information, the Law of Turkmenistan on amendments and additions to the law of Turkmenistan "On Insurance" has been adopted, according to which the normative legal acts have been re-ratified.
As reported, earlier Turkmenistan has introduced mandatory insurance for passengers of all types of transport, crew members of air, sea, river, road transport and railway transport workers.
Also, earlier Turkmen officials have already talked about the introduction of mandatory insurance for passengers of all types of transport. So, it was said that it is planned to prepare a draft on mandatory state insurance for passengers of all types of transport, crew members of air, sea, river, road transport and railway workers.
In general, the insurance system in Turkmenistan is improving. In April 2020, the president of Turkmenistan signed a decree, thereby approving the types of insurance that legal entities in Turkmenistan can use to enter into contracts with foreign insurance companies.
