As of 2020, the volume of repatriation (export) of capital from Azerbaijan exceeded $4.5 billion, Trend reports on March 31 with reference to the data of the balance of payments of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This figure increased by 38.8 percent on an annualized basis.
At the same time, the maximum volume of capital repatriation was observed in the fourth quarter of the year - $1.7 billion. This figure was $990 million in the first quarter, $854 million in the second quarter, $1.6 billion - in the third quarter.
The volume of capital repatriation from Azerbaijan increased by 2.1 percent in 2019 compared to 2018.
