The export of goods and services from Azerbaijan will increase by 2.1 percent, while import is also expected to grow by 3.5 percent in 2021, Trend reports on April 5 with reference to the World Bank (WB) report on Europe and Central Asia.
In accordance with the report, the export operations of goods and services from Azerbaijan are also forecast to grow by 4.1 and 2.3 percent, in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
As for the import relations on goods and services, the WB foresees an increase in 2022 by 3 percent while in 2023 - by 1.7 percent.
In general, according to the WB forecasts, GDP growth in Azerbaijan in 2021 will amount to 2.8 percent.
Azerbaijan has been cooperating with the WB since 1992. The bank is supporting Azerbaijan in the implementation of the major structural reforms.
