The amount of tax revenues in Uzbekistan in 1Q2021 in the state budget increased by 23 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, the amount of tax revenues in Uzbekistan for the reporting period in the state budget amounted to 29.3 trillion soums ($2.8 billion).
At the same time, the amount of additional income increased by 1.7 trillion soums ($161 million), or 2.8 times compared to the same period last year (599 billion soums - $56.8 million).
It is reported that 95 percent of taxes were paid voluntarily through the Taxpayer Assistant system. At the same time, 90 percent of receipts were provided by the 25th day of each month, and the remaining 10 percent - within the last five days.
In December 2020, President of Uzbekistan signed the law on the state budget for 2021. According to the document, state budget revenues for 2021 are projected at 147.2 trillion soums ($14 billion), expenses - 149.5 trillion soums ($14.2 billion). The budget deficit was approved at 17.3 trillion soums ($1.6 billion).
The country's gross domestic product in this year is projected at 688.9 trillion soums ($65 billion) with an increase of 5.1 percent. Inflation by the end of 2021 is expected to be in the range of 9-10 percent.
The growth rate of industrial production should be 5.8 percent, production in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 3.5 percent, retail turnover - 5.9 percent.
The amount of public debt should not exceed 60 percent in relation to GDP. The maximum volume of new agreements on attracting internal and external borrowing on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan or under its guarantee has been approved in the amount of $5.5 billion.
