The total assets of the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran increased by 7.9 percent in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.
In accordance with the report, the bank's total assets increased by 6.7 million manat ($3.9 million) up to 90.6 million manat ($53.3 million).
A big part (54.7 percent) accounted for cash and correspondent accounts in other banks in the structure of assets, the total volume of which amounted to 49.6 million manat ($29.2 million).
The bank's investments in securities amounted to 24.5 million manat ($14.4 million), increasing by 30.8 percent compared to the second quarter of 2020.
The loan portfolio grew by almost 1.7 times, reaching 8.2 million manat ($4.8 million).
Some 3.3 million manat ($1.9 million) accounted for unused real estate in the structure of Bank Melli Iran's long-term assets while this figure decreased by 2.7 percent for the year.
The bank's intangible assets, after deducting depreciation, almost doubled, reaching 155,600 manat ($91,529). Other assets amounted to 4.9 million manat ($2.9 million).
