The total volume of deposits in Azerbaijani banks as of early July 2021 reached 24.2 billion manat ($14.2 billion), which is by 7.1 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on July 28 referring to the statistics report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
At the same time, the volume of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 9.2 percent compared to early July 2020, amounting to 13.9 billion manat ($8.2 billion).
Deposits of individuals increased for the year by 9.5 percent up to 8.4 billion manat ($4.9 billion).
During the reporting period, deposits in foreign currency amounted to 12.5 billion manat ($7.3 billion), decreasing on an annualized basis by 8.5 percent.
Deposits in national currency increased by 30.8 percent compared to the same period of last year up to 11.7 billion manat ($6.9 billion).
