Kazakhstan discloses possible volume of debt limit for 2022

The debt limit of the government of Kazakhstan as of December 31, 2022 may amount to 21.2 trillion tenge ($49 billion), Trend reports with reference to kaztag.kz.

According to the draft budget, a limit on the provision of state guarantees of Kazakhstan in 2022 in the amount of 1,000,000,000 trillion tenge ($2.3 billion) will be set.

Also, the limit for the provision of state guarantees to support exports in 2022 will not be applied.

“Set a limit on the provision of state guarantees for 2022 in the amount of 45 trillion tenge ($105 billion). Set a limit on government debt as of December 31, 2022 in the amount of 21.2 trillion tenge ($49 billion),” the draft budget says.

It is reported that the limit of state obligations for public-private partnership projects, including state concession obligations of the government of Kazakhstan, for 2022 intends to be set at 2.6 trillion tenge ($6 billion).

Earlier it was reported that almost three trillion tenge ($7 billion) are planned to be withdrawn from the National Fund of Kazakhstan in 2022 in the form of transfers. At the same time, the sizes of the minimum wage (minimum wage), basic pensions and the monthly calculation index (monthly calculation index) planned for 2022 in Kazakhstan were announced.

In addition, it was reported that almost 426 billion tenge ($997 million) of budget funds are going to be reserved in 2022 in Kazakhstan.
